We thank you for your love, prayers, and support from the bottom of our hearts as we endeavor on this adoption journey.  As you may be aware, adoption is extremely expensive.  But you cannot put a dollar amount on providing a nurturing home and loving environment for children in need.  Lifeline Children’s Services has provided us with an itemized list of expenses for the adoption. Our total goal is to raise $40,000 which will cover the entire cost of adopting two children from Hungary.

We appreciate your consideration of a financial contribution to this cause.  Through your generosity, you will enable us to offer a stable, Christ centered environment for two children who need and deserve a home!

We are currently accepting donations through PayPal.  You may also visit our online store at Just Love Coffee to purchase uniquely roasted coffees from all around the world.    A percentage of your purchase will go directly to our adoption.

A Tax Deductible contribution can also be made to:
Haleburg United Methodist Church Adoption Fund

Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness!

May God bless you!

  5. Tony is the pastor of two churches. The smaller church was very willing to work with us to do the tax deduction thing – Tony could tell you how they do it exactly. We chose not to use Lifesong because of how their contract read. It said that they could not guarantee that you would receive all of your money and that made us nervous. It was so easy to work with our church. I would suggest you ask the finance committee or treasurer at your church to see if they would be willing or able to help you. I do know a friend who used Lifesong and they were very pleased. You can also talk to your accountant if you have one.

  6. Tony and Cary,
How did you set up a tax-deductible gift through your church? I know there are some tax rules about giving to specific causes and individuals. Did you go through something like Lifesong to set something up?

  7. Thanks so much for that helpful information! I don’t know anyone personally who has gone through the adoption process, so I really appreciate your help and encouragement.

  8. We have the coffee and pasta fund raisers going on right now. We are also planning a silent auction and also a comedian show for fund raisers. There is a book and website that has creative ideas on it “Adopt without Debt” by Julie Gumm or http://www.adoptwithoutdebt.com. The paypal button – my husband did that. We looked up how to do it under the help section of wordpress and then he went to paypal and got the code for it. I will ask him to explain for you. Blessings to you on your fund raisers and your adoption. I will let you know if we plan anything else. Please let me know if there is anything else we can do to help you! God bless!

  9. Hey! Could you please tell me how you and your husband are raising money for your adoption? We’re trying to think of some creative fundraising ideas. Also, can you tell me how to get a paypal link on my blog? Thanks for your help!
